Q. Does the gospel matter?
A. Yes, the gospel matters because it is God’s powerful plan to save all who put their trust in Christ.

Read Romans 10:8–13.
List the things you learn about Jesus.

What must you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart?

Underline the phrases will be saved and is saved. How could these verses give you assurance of your salvation?

Read Romans 10:14–17.
Where does faith come from?

What is the progression in these verses of someone finally calling on the Lord? What happens first, then next, etc.?

Read 1 Corinthians 1:17–25.
What encouragement do you receive about sharing the gospel from Paul’s words?

Read 2 Corinthians 4:1–6 and 1 Thessalonians 1:4–7.
List 3 to 6 people you know who do not trust Jesus as their Savior. Pray for each one of them that God would open their eyes to see their sin and their need for the Savior. Pray that God would give you wisdom and power to live out the gospel before them in both word and deed.
