Family Devotion - Proverbs 3:5-6

Family Devotion Activity
Bottom Line: God wants us to trust in His guidance for our lives.
Bible Passage: Proverbs 3:5-6

Sit down as a family and read through Proverbs 3:5-6. Then gather as many pillows and other (safe) obstacles and spread them out through the living room to create an obstacle course. Choose one person to start blindfolded, and one person to be the guide. The guide stands at one end of the living room and guides the blindfolded person through the obstacle course using only verbal directions. Be sure everyone gets a turn being both blindfolded and the guide. Afterwards huddle up and talk about what it means to trust someone, going through the discussion questions below.

Discussion Questions:

1) What does it mean to trust someone?

2) How did it feel to trust someone to guide you through obstacles?
3) How do we know that we can trust God to guide us through our own lives?
4) What are some ways that we can show that we trust in God’s promises and His plans for our lives?
